Romano Law Group Captures Business of the Month Award
[October 7, 2008; LAKE WORTH, FL] – The law firm of Romano Law Group was recently presented with the Lake Worth Chamber of Commerce’s 2008 Business of the Month Beautification Award. This award was given to the law firm in recognition of the improvements they have made to downtown Lake Worth with the construction of their new office building, EcoCentre, the Living Building.
This building is Florida’s first office building of its kind -- a 33,000 gross sq. ft., four-story structure incorporating natural ”living” systems and “green” technologies designed to save energy, reduce CO2 emissions, water consumption and create an overall healthier environment. The project is registered with the U.S. Green Building Council and will seek Gold L.E.E.D. certification, a procedure demonstrating that the project has been planned, designed, and completed with a primary goal of environmental enhancement.
The building’s unique feature is its water-saving technology which is designed to reduce the demand on city’s water resources. Its Living Machine®, a technological innovation which allows for the on-site purification and recycling of water, treats gray water from the building sinks and showers and re-uses it for exterior irrigation. In addition, rainwater collected from the rooftop is re-used for flushing toilets, and air-conditioning condensate is the source of fish pond water which is used to irrigate interior landscaping.
Since January 2008, the Lake Worth Chamber of Commerce has presented the Beautification Award to local businesses that have made physical improvements to their businesses enhancing the curbside appeal of downtown Lake Worth.
“The Romano Law Group’s office building, EcoCentre, the Living Building, is a fine example of how people can live and work in harmony with the environment and construct a practical and necessary office structure which actually enhances and beautifies the environment. We are proud that they have chosen Lake Worth as their home and hope that others follow their lead,” said Lake Worth Chamber President, Tom Ramiccio.
EcoCentre, the Living Building is located at 1005 Lake Avenue in downtown Lake Worth, and serves as the headquarters for the nationally recognized trial law firm of Romano Law Group. EcoCentre is open for tours which can be arranged by calling 561.533.6700 or by visiting the law firm’s website at www.romanolawgroup.com
