Does your child own one of these recently recalled products?

According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, there have been 14 recalls associated with defective baby/children’s products since July 1, 2022. Below is a comprehensive list of recently recalled children’s products, the known hazard and what consumers should do if their children have one of these products.


Shake Look Touch Books (Recall Date: 7/7/22)

Scholastic Shake Look Touch toy for children with colorful design and textured elements.

Hazard:

The pom poms on the book can detach, posing a choking hazard to young children.

Remedy:

Consumers should immediately take the book away from young children and cut the pom poms off the book. Consumers can participate in the recall and receive a $10 gift card by registering online at www.recallrtr.com/slt, submitting a picture of the book and removed pom poms, and affirming that the removed pom poms will be disposed of in the trash. Consumers can use the book after removing and disposing of the pom poms.


Konges Sløjd Baby Mirror Activity Toy (Recall Date: 7/21/22)

Hazard:

The mirror can come out of the silicone bear cover if pushed, exposing sharp edges of the mirror, posing a laceration hazard to children.

Remedy:

Consumers should immediately take the toy away from children, stop using the recalled Konges Sløjd Baby Mirror Activity Toy and contact Konges Sløjd for a full refund.


Monti Kids Toy Box with Bins (Recall Date: 7/22/21)

Colorful wooden toy with three drawers and coins for children.

Hazard:

A small dowel can become exposed and detach from the toy box, posing a choking hazard to young children.

Remedy:

The consumer should immediately stop using the recalled Box with Bins and contact Monti Kids for instructions to receive a $35 refund.


Kidoozie™ Play Tents and Playhouses (Recall Date: 7/28/22)

Hazard:

The fabric playhouses and play tents fail to meet an industry flammability standard for these products, posing a risk of burn injuries to children.

Remedy:

Consumers should immediately take the recalled playhouses and play tents away from children, stop using them and contact Epoch Everlasting Play for a full refund or free replacement product.


NUK First Choice 240 mL Glass Baby Bottles (Recall Date: 7/28/22)

Hazard:

The markings on the outside of the bottles contain levels of lead that exceed the federal lead content ban. Lead is toxic if ingested by young children and can cause adverse health issues.

Remedy:

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled glass baby bottles. Contact NUK for information on how to return the recalled baby bottle and receive a full refund. Consumers can register for a kit to return the baby bottles for free at www.recall.nuk-usa.com.


4moms MamaRoo Baby Swing, v. 1.0 through 4.0 and RockaRoo Baby Rockers (Recall Date: 8/15/22)

Hazard:

When the swing or rocker is not in use, their restraint straps can dangle below the seat and non-occupant crawling infants can become entangled in the straps, posing a strangulation hazard.

Remedy:

Consumers with infants who can crawl should immediately stop using the recalled swings and rockers, place them in an area where crawling infants cannot access and contact 4moms immediately to register for a free strap fastener that will prevent the straps from extending under the swing when not in use.


Hard Rock Cafe Children’s Hooded Sweatshirts (Recall Date: 8/18/22)

Hazard:

The children’s sweatshirts have a drawstring in the hood that can become entangled or caught on objects, posing a strangulation hazard to children.

Remedy:

Consumers should immediately take the recalled sweatshirts away from the child and remove the drawstring to eliminate the hazard or return the sweatshirt to Hard Rock for a full refund, shipping included.


Kidoozie My First Activity Desk Toys (Recall Date: 8/25/22)

Hazard:

When attached to a crib, a protruding knob on the activity desks can become entangled with clothing on a child, posing an entanglement hazard. The opening in the handle on the desks can also pose a jaw entrapment hazard to children under 18 months.

Remedy:

Consumers should immediately take the toys away from children, stop using them and contact Epoch Everlasting Play for a free replacement or a full refund. The company will provide consumers with a pre-paid shipping label to return the recalled activity desk.


Big Game Hunters Mud Kitchens (Recall Date: 8/2/22)

Hazard:

The brass water tap of the play kitchen contains levels of lead that exceed the federal lead content ban. Lead is toxic if ingested by young children and can cause adverse health issues.

Remedy:

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled Big Game Hunters Mud Kitchen, remove and dispose of the brass water tap, and contact DOM Enterprises & Mfg. Ltd. (“DOM Sports”) for a free replacement water tap.


Blue’s Clues Foot to Floor Ride-on Toys (Recall Date: 8/25/22)

Hazard:

The ride-on toy can tip forward when a young child is riding it, posing fall and injury hazards to children.

Remedy:

Consumers should immediately take the recalled ride-on toy away from children and stop using it. Contact the firm for a free kit with instructions to install a new stop bar on the ride-on toy.


UPPAbaby All-Terrain RIDGE Jogging Strollers (Recall Date: 9/1/22)

Hazard:

The stroller’s rear disc brakes have openings that can cause amputation or laceration if a non-occupant child’s fingertip gets caught in the openings while the stroller is in use.

Remedy:

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled strollers and contact UPPAbaby to receive free replacement brake discs for both wheels.


Yuboloo Infant Bath Seats (Recall Date: 9/1/22)

Hazard:

The bath seats fail to meet the federal safety standard for infant bath seats, including requirements for stability and leg openings and can tip over while in use, posing a drowning hazard to babies.

Remedy:

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled infant bath seats and contact Yuboloo to receive a pre-paid label to return the infant bath seats. Upon receipt of the infant bath seats, consumers will be issued a full refund for the purchase price.


Otter MOMO Children’s Sandals (Recall Date: 9/1/22)

Hazard:

The inner layer of the recalled sandals contains levels of lead that exceed the federal lead content ban. Lead is toxic if ingested by young children and can cause adverse health issues.

Remedy:

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled sandals and contact Kolan for information on how to properly dispose of the shoes and receive a full refund. Kolan is contacting all known purchasers directly.


Children’s HearMuffs sound compression earmuffs (Recall Date: 9/8/22)

Hazard:

The AAA alkaline batteries included in the recalled HearMuffs can rupture, posing hearing, projectile and/or burn injury.

Remedy:

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled HearMuffs and contact Hearing Lab Technology/Lucid Audio to receive two new replacement AAA batteries free of charge.
